YouTube, the popular video sharing website, has been blocked by the Pakistani Government.
 
Pakistan's group of ISPs (Internet Service Providers) were ordered to block the website until further notice.
 
The country joins Thailand and Turkey, who have previously blocked the website.
 
The action was taken by Pakistan's Telecommunications Authority because the website contained anti-Islamic content.
 
Users in the country may still be able to access YouTube, via "proxies". Many websites offer free proxy services, which open the website for you remotely, in this case outside of Pakistan, and show you the website via their own web address, which is not blocked. The problem with this is that the proxy websites are also blocked.
