The new BBC header allows you to explore the BBC like never before.

Today's change to the BBC website is the most recent in "a series of changes", as described in BBC News Blog, The Editors.

The change is very minor when you first notice it, the glossy looking Explore the BBC orange button. However, when clicked you will notice all the options the old version offered, and more (see below).



The new header is a clear improvement on the last, except accessibility. The term accessibility means put simple if it is accessible, and more importantly to the majority of users.

Most people now use an up-to-date browser, with JavaScript enabled, JavaScript is how this new tool has been coded.

The BBC have not purposely thought to code in JavaScript in order for it to be in-accessible, JavaScript is the only scripting language available for this sort of effect.

Also if JavaScript is not enabled the "Explore the BBC" button becomes a useful link to the BBC A-Z Index.
