The revolutionary fitness game for the Nintendo Wii console, Wii Fit, has been released over this weekend.

The Wii Fit was officially released on Friday (25/04/2008), the game comes with a "Balance Board", which determines fitness based on a number of indicators such as weight, age, height etc.

As well as all the things you would expect the "Balance Board" to test, the kind of fitness related indicators listed above, the device also tests balance, and can inform you of where your natural balance is, to the left, to the right or as it should be in the centre.

The Wii Fit CD offers four training modes, in which are sports related to the technique you wish to improve, for example in balance games you will find football.

Don't worry if football or balance in general isn't your thing, the game offers forty sports and exercises in the training mode alone.

You can install the "Body Test Channel", which you can access from the Wii front page, the channel will contain the results of fitness tests, including your BMI (Body Mass Index) and your "Fitness Credits".

ESRB (Entertainment Software Ratings Board) have awarded the game an Everyone Certificate as you would expect, and added "the game contains comic mischief", whatever "comic mischief" is.
