Stronghold Crusader Extreme is to be released in North America on the 13th May, with no confirmed EU date.

Stronghold Crusader Extreme as the name suggests is a more extreme of the popular castle simulator, Stronghold Crusader.

The term extreme here means larger armies, the size of your army was limited in both the 'original' Stronghold games, Stronghold and Stronghold Crusader. The extreme version of the game will feature invading armies of 10,000.

Army size is of course not the only change in the new game, there are new characters added to the game, ones only seen in Stronghold Warchest, a combination of the Stronghold and Crusader games released in North America.



The second line of the above characters will look new to players outside North America, it will be the first time they have featured in a game released in the developer's native Great Britain.

The release date for Stronghold Crusader Extreme has not been confirmed for countries outside North America, where it will be released on the 13th May.
