News Corp's MySpace is to receive a global redesign this week in order to attract and keep more users.

The MySpace re-design is planned for this week, with a scheduled finish of 18/06/2008.

The re-design is to strengthen the websites share compared to other social networking websites, including Bebo and Facebook.

Both Bebo and Facebook are though of as having more modern, clean designs, MySpace have amended there design in areas to keep up, by offering custom member page designs.

Other leading websites have been updating their website designs this year, including BBC Homepage and more recently BBC News and BBC Sport. Channel 4 also launched e4.com, with its own separate, better design.
