It is rumoured that Sony are to develop a mobile version of their PSP.

Sony's move is similar to that of Apple, when they decided to make their popular iPod into the iPhone.

Sony, of course, can produce phones with their branding, though through Swedish partner, Ericsson, examples include Cyber Shot and Walkman phones.

This time round, Sony may prefer to keep any 'PlayStation Phone' in their own company, without involvement from Ericsson.

The iPhone's attraction was it's media abilities, the 'PSP Phone's' must therefore be gaming?

Gaming on mobile phones has never been as big as music and more recently video, with this in mind it is unlikely Sony's phone will outsell the iPhone, which is still seen to most as "too expensive".
