We've updated our homepage, you get everything you used to get - and more - in a more stylish way.<br /><br />You can see the new homepage now in action on the normal homepage, <a href="../../">click here</a> to view.<br /><br />The new page uses javascript to show different department updates, without loading a new page.<br /><br />Currently, there is no alternative for users without javascript - however one is being developed - and will be available soon.<br /><br />To learn more about client side scripting (javascript) on the GameSlayer website - and also GameSlayer Network (GSN) sites, <a href="../../misc/2008/javascript.html">click here</a>.
GameSlayer Search re-launches an enhanced version of their old site search with greater accuracy and more features.<br /><br />The new site search only includes game pages, news and blog articles - no indexes.<br /><br />This means you find the page you are looking for - and not the page linking to it, meaning better results.<br /><br />GameSlayer Search is a literal search engine - it is coded by a human and so will get the expected result.<br /><br />As a consequence of this type only the game, new or blog article name (or search term) for better results - for example <i>call of duty 3 ps3</i> is not so good, whereas <i>call of duty 3</i> is better.<br /><br />You can specify to search for only PlayStation 3 games by selecting the console from a drop-down box - instead of typing -ps3 or -playstation 3 at the end of your search.<br /><br />You can search GameSlayer now from the top of this page and by clicking search from the menu on the left.<br /><br />Although Search is in BETA - over 8,000 searches already exist with more on the way.<br /><br />Also in development, is the suggestion engine - a script whereby you are given common searches - guaranteed results - from a drop-down box, under the search box (where you type your keywords).<br /><br />Or, by <a href="../../search/">clicking here</a> to go to <a href="../../search/">GameSlayer Search</a>.
We have archived our older cheat codes in a new section of the cheats department - "old codes".<br /><br />New cheats are being added daily* and archived codes updated and improved, in order to have a full library of high quality cheat codes - in one place.<br /><br /><div style="font-size: x-small">* should cheats exist they will be added on the day - from 14/09/2008.</div><br />Read more about the "old codes" section in the <a href="../../cheats/old_codes/about.html">about section</a>.
Some changes are being made to GameSlayer, the major ones are outlined in this document.<br /><br /><b>BETA Testing</b><br />Accounts<sup> BETA</sup> are being closed.<br />Site Search<sup> BETA</sup> to begin development.<br /><br /><b>Accounts</b><br />Accounts are closed, all information held about users have been deleted, all the members only features are open to all users.<br /><br /><b>Site Search</b><br />GameSlayer Site Search is being developed, all new PlayStation 3 games are being added as they are released, other consoles will be added after. All blog posts have been added - new ones will be added as they are published. News articles will be added some time in the future.<br /><br /><br /><b>New Cheats Pages</b><br />Cheats pages have a new blue design - this will match a new design - currently in development.<br /><br /><br /><b>New Design</b><br />As mentioned above, a new design will be developed toward the end of the year.
